In this role, you'll engage with our local community, provide education and guidance, and support the fair and consistent application of Council policies and legislation.

In this role, you will:

You'll be at the heart of the community, providing education and regulatory services in areas such as:

- Dog control and animal management
- Parking and unlawful camping
- Littering and vehicles on beaches
- Straying stock, overgrown properties, abandoned vehicles, and impounding

Every day will be different - thinking on your feet, problem-solving, and adapting to new challenges will be part of your routine. You'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-informed community while providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll bring

You thrive in a rapid-paced, hands-on environment and are ready to take on responsibility with confidence. You'll have:
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) and/or Rangers 1 & 2, or a willingness to obtain these qualifications




- Experience in local government regulatory services and a sound understanding of relevant legislation (highly desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
- The ability to work autonomously while being a supportive team player
- A Class C Driver Licence.

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you'll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component)

Salary: Commencing salary circa $77,740 p.a. plus superannuation (dependent on skills and experience)

A "to and from" use vehicle is available and will be discussed with the successful candidate.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
