An integral part of our team at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheter Theatre (Scrub Scout), you'll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make the everyday easier for the people we care so passionately about.

Working across four cardiac catheterisation laboratories and a state-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Theatre, you'll gain exposure to some of Australia's most advanced and complex cardiac procedures while being supported by a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

Your part in St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital team

As part of our Cardiac Catheter Theatre team and Cardiac Centre of Excellence, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technologies and gain exposure to a diverse range of complex cardiac procedures, including:

- Coronary Angiography and Heart Catheterisation
- Electrophysiology Studies (EPS)
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI)
- Structural Heart Interventions including ASD, PFO and LAAO procedures
- Catheter Ablation using Radiofrequency and Pulse Field Ablation technologies
- Cardiac Device Implantation including Pacemakers and ICDs

You'll be joining a service recognised for:
- Queensland's flagship private-sector electrophysiology program
- The largest volume of FARAPULSE Pulse Field Ablation procedures across Australia and New Zealand
- American College of Cardiology Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory Accreditation with PCI




- Australia's only Edwards Lifesciences TAVI Teaching Centre of Excellence

Working alongside experienced clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you'll continue to develop your expertise while delivering exceptional person-centred care. What makes a difference for us?

- Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
- Australian Working Rights (sponsorship is not available for this position)
- Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience within Cardiac Catheter Theatres, preferably in a Scrub Scout role
- Candidates with relevant experience and a willingness to undertake specialised training are encouraged to apply
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster
- Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
- Desire for ongoing professional development and skills advancement
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
