We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) to provide support to an aged care client in Sussex Inlet, NSW on Saturdays only.
About the Role
This is a Saturday-only position involving regular visits to a client in their home. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing appropriate wound care and assisting the client with shopping as required.
The role is suited to a nurse who is looking for consistent weekend work within a community/aged care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend the client's home on Saturdays as scheduled.
- Provide appropriate wound assessment, wound care, and dressing changes within your scope of practice.
- Monitor the client's wound and identify and report any changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and care notes.
- Follow the client's care plan and relevant clinical procedures.
- Communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate members of the care team.
- Assist the client with shopping and purchasing essential groceries and other agreed items.
- Support the client's independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing throughout the visit.
- Maintain professional communication with the client, family members, and Comfort Home Care.
- Comply with relevant aged care requirements,
organisational policies, infection control procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
About You We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional nurse who is confident working independently in a community setting.
You will ideally have
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) registration with AHPRA.
- Previous experience in aged care, community nursing, or wound care.
- Experience with wound assessment and wound management.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled visits responsibly.
- A professional and person-centred approach to care.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Relevant aged care and/or community care experience.
