Regulatory Service Officer

- Clerk Grade 3/4, commencing salary $87,199 plus super
- Temporary, until October 2027, 21hr week. Based in an authorised SafeWork NSW office

About us SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our mission is to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses by ensuring workplaces comply with health and safety laws. We achieve this through a mix of responsive and proactive programs targeting high-risk areas across all industries, aligned with our strategic plan and regulatory priorities.

About the role

SafeWork NSW is the only Australian work health and safety regulator to establish a dedicated Taskforce focused on addressing gender-based harmful workplace behaviours. The Respect at Work Taskforce is leading the implementation of a four-year strategy to prevent harmful, gender-based behaviours across NSW workplaces, with an initial focus on sexual harassment.

This includes educating NSW businesses on their duties to prevent and respond to workplace sexual harassment before it occurs and taking appropriate enforcement action to protect workers.

In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team of specialist inspectors, policy and education expertise delivering the SafeWork NSW Respect at Work Strategy 2023-2027. This role is a unique chance to influence NSW workplaces, particularly in high-risk industries, through educational resources and programs to promote voluntary compliance and best practice with WHS laws to prevent workplace sexual harassment.

Your responsibilities will include,



but not limited to:

- Providing administrative support across our multi-disciplinary team, such as preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes, managing team calendars, and supporting inspectors with their day-to-day administrative tasks

- Supporting the coordination of events, information sessions and workshops
- Maintaining accurate records, ensuring current and relevant information is available and relevant policies, procedures, confidentiality and privacy requirements are met
- Assisting with purchasing functions such as ordering equipment and processing of invoices

- Experience in providing a variety of administrative support services with competing priorities and be capable of working independently and without direction
- Discretion and confidentiality and have a proven high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Experiences in using a range of Microsoft applications
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Organised and adaptable to changing priorities
