BET Care Group Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider dedicated to building accessible housing and supporting people with disability to live meaningful and independent lives.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Rostering and Administration Officer to coordinate and schedule services nationally and provide administrative support to our Corporate Manager. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
You will be part of our national rostering team, working collaboratively with service teams across multiple states to maintain appropriate workforce coverage and support consistent, reliable service delivery.
About the Role
As the Rostering and Administration Officer, you will coordinate service schedules and employee rosters across BET Care's national operations. You will respond to changes in participant support requirements, employee availability, unplanned absences and vacant shifts while ensuring roster information remains accurate and up to date.
Alongside your rostering responsibilities, you will assist with provide general administrative support to our Corporate Manager and coordinate maintenance requests for BET Care's Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes. This will include recording requests, liaising with contractors and arranging appointments.
You will work closely with employees, service teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
National Rostering and Service Scheduling
- Coordinate and maintain service schedules and employee rosters across BET Care's national operations.
- Schedule employees according to participant support requirements, employee availability, required skills and applicable rostering requirements.
- Respond to vacant shifts, unplanned absences,
changes in participant needs and other roster adjustments.
- Identify suitable employees to fill vacant shifts and maintain continuity of supports.
- Monitor workforce coverage across multiple locations and escalate unresolved staffing gaps promptly.
- Communicate roster changes clearly and promptly to employees and relevant service teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date roster information within relevant systems.
- Work collaboratively with the national rostering and service teams to support consistent rostering practices across all locations.
- Escalate roster risks, recurring coverage issues and other service delivery concerns to the appropriate manager.
Administration and Property Support
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Manager.
- Receive, record and monitor maintenance requests for BET Care's SIL homes.
- Identify urgent maintenance matters and escalate safety concerns promptly.
- Obtain quotes and coordinate approved contractors, property access and appointments as directed.
- Liaise with service teams to minimise disruption to participants.
- Follow up outstanding repairs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Attend BET Care properties when required to assist with maintenance coordination.
- Build positive working relationships with employees, service teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
About You
You are someone who takes pride in being organised, dependable and responsive. You enjoy bringing order to a busy environment and can confidently manage several priorities without losing attention to detail. You communicate clearly,
remain calm when plans change and follow tasks through to completion. Most importantly, you understand that effective rostering is about more than filling shifts, it is about helping participants receive safe, consistent and reliable support.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of two years' experience in rostering, administration, facilities coordination, property maintenance coordination or a related role
- Demonstrated experience preparing and maintaining employee rosters
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage urgent requests and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors and other stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
- Confidence using rostering, maintenance and administrative systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience within the NDIS, disability or community services sector will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Mandatory Requirements
- Right to work in Australia and the ability to provide evidence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehiclel
- Willingness to travel between BET Care properties when required
- Availability to work outside normal hours when required
