About the Role

We are seeking a Room Leader or Educator to join our Artarmon centre on a full-time basis. You will support engaging learning programs and documentation and create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children. The Room Leader will also lead and support the room team.

Key Responsibilities

- For the Room Leader role, lead and support the room team, mentor educators and coordinate daily routines.
- Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.

- Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development.
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and communicate regularly with families.
- Maintain safe and inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environments.

- Support the centre’s quality standards, child protection practices and continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with centre management and other educators.

About You

- Room Leader: a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
- Educator:



a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

- At least one year of relevant early childhood experience is preferred.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates, or willingness to obtain them before commencement.

- Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQF and NQS.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with team leadership skills for the Room Leader role.
- A commitment to high-quality early childhood education and care.

- Valid Australian working rights suitable for the role and roster.
- ECT applicants must hold current NESA accreditation or be eligible to obtain it.
