We are looking for enthusiastic and service-focused Bar Attendants who thrive in a fast-paced events environment on a casual basis for our large Conferencing & Events facility. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in a busy bar, pub, restaurant, brewery, cellar door, or hospitality workplace, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences. You will also support the Conference & Events operational team in any day-to-day activities and may be called upon to work in other bar outlets in the resort.

About the Role:





The Conference & Events Food & Beverage Bar Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable experience. You are responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service across a wide range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate functions, gala dinners, and special events. The role involves setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages, maintaining presentation standards, and ensuring guests receive a professional, friendly, and efficient service experience.

- Provide warm, professional, and engaging service to all guests.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude during high-volume service periods.
- Set up, stock, and pack down event bars in accordance with event requirements.
- Ensure all glassware, beverages, garnishes, and equipment are prepared and available before service.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Accurately process beverage orders and transactions where required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of bar areas at all times.
- Assist in creating a welcoming and enjoyable event atmosphere.
- Assist with the delivery of conferences, corporate events, weddings, and special functions with the set up and pack down of events when bar services are not required.
- Work collaboratively with Conference & Events, Kitchen, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless service.
- Follow event run sheets and operational instructions.
- Adapt quickly to changing event requirements and guest numbers.
- Support colleagues during event operations and peak service periods.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on excellence in hospitality.

- Hold and maintain a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws and venue policies.
- Adhere to food safety,



workplace health and safety, and hygiene standards.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or guest concerns promptly.
- Flexibility in a rotating work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Your own transport is a must as there is no public transport available in the area.

Skills & Experience

These are the desired skills and experience for this role:

- Previous experience working in a resort, hotel, bar, conference, or events environment.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Professional presentation and grooming standards.
- Barista experience.
- Bar or cocktail service experience.
- Experience in conference, banquet, or wedding service.
- Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver friendly, professional, and personalised guest experiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation standards.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise during busy service periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours.
- Ability to follow procedures, service standards, and workplace policies.
- Availability to work a 7day roster, days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA).
