Orora Beverage Cans is a market leader in primary metal packaging for beverages across Australia and Current Zealand. We manufacture a broad range of aluminium cans including classic, sleek, and slimline formats - including can-ends for the perfect seal. Our aluminium cans and ends production network spans six manufacturing sites across Australia and New Zealand.

With unique in-house innovation, design, and digital decoration capability, the role we play in marketing our customers' brands is always front of mind. It motivates us to design and produce cans with 360-degree, high impact decoration that stands out on the shelf. We lead the market with innovative design and decoration solutions for customers in categories including carbonated soft drinks, beer, energy drinks, alcohol ready-to-drink and kombucha.

The Role The Safety Lead will collaborate with our site operations teams to ensure compliance with HSE requirements at our Canning Vale Can Manufacturing site. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, assisting with HSE incident investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing safety training programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with leaders to drive accountability, ownership and engagement in health, safety and environmental outcomes across the site
- Provide expert HSE guidance, coaching and mentoring to build capability and promote best practice across teams
- Lead risk management activities,



incident investigations and corrective actions to minimise risk and improve performance
- Monitor and support compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements and company standards, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate audits, inspections and governance activities while ensuring HSE plans and initiatives remain on track and deliver expected outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement through effective communication, education and change initiatives that strengthen safety culture and embed HSE excellence

About You

- Diploma or Degree in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
- ICAM (or equivalent) incident investigation qualification and/or Lead Auditor certification
- 3-5 years' experience in HSE roles within manufacturing, industrial, or other high-risk operational environments
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, and injury management frameworks, with the ability to ensure compliance and drive best practice
- Proven ability to implement and continuously improve safety systems, risk management processes, and incident investigation practices
- Hands-on and proactive approach, with strong communication, stakeholder engagement, coaching, and problem-solving skills
