nFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. nValid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulationsn
n
nCurrent BLS certification ( AHA/ARC )n
n
nPreferred Qualifications:n
n
nMaster’s Degree or higher of Speech Language Pathologyn
n
nCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathologyn
n
nSpeech Language Pathology experience, but New Grads are welcome to applyn
n
nOther certifications or licenses may be required for this positionn
n
nSummary:n
n
nThe Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. Working in a variety of settings, the SLP develops and implements individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and caregivers to facilitate improved communication outcomes and overall quality of life. Essential Work Functions:n
n
nUtilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient populationn
n
nDesign personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practicesn
n
nContinuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical recordn
n
nEducate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises,
and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as requiredn
n
nWork in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient caren
n
nMaintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessionsn
n
nEngage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech language therapyn
n
nPerform other duties as assigned within scope of practicen
n
nRequired Essential Skills:n

nAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsn
