Job Description
The Statutory Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with technical accounting guidance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting.
- Other ad hoc project, process improvement work
The Successful Applicant
A successful Statutory Accounting Manager should have:
- Audit foundation highly desirable
- Exposure within a publicly listed environment
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of statutory reporting standards.
- Experience in financial reporting within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and tools.
- Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
