Boilermaker / Welder Location: Altona North, VIC
Pay Rate: $60 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join a well-established marine engineering company based in Altona North. This is a casual role with robust potential for ongoing, long-term work.

About the Role This position involves both workshop and site-based work, supporting the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial and marine assets.

Key responsibilities include:

- Fabrication and welding in line with engineering drawings
- Inspection, servicing, and repair of equipment
- Operating workshop machinery and tools
- Working with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Carrying out site work as required
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience




- Relevant trade qualification (Boilermaker/Welder)
- Experience in heavy industry or marine environments
- Proficiency in welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, MMAW
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets (must be in date)
- Manual driver’s licence
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements
