The Opportunity

This is a consultative sales role for someone who can combine empathy with confidence.

As a Personal Budgeting Specialist, you will speak with people about their current financial situation, understand what they want to change and explain how MyBudget may be able to support them.

Money can be difficult to talk about. Some clients may feel stressed, overwhelmed or embarrassed. You will create trust, ask thoughtful questions and guide each conversation towards a clear next step.

You will also work towards individual and team targets, so you need to care about people while enjoying accountability for results.

You do not need a financial services background. We provide comprehensive training on our service, systems and approach. Experience in consultative sales, customer service or another client focused role will give you a strong foundation.

What You Will Be Doing

- Lead structured conversations with prospective clients
- Understand each person’s financial situation, priorities and goals
- Explain the MyBudget service clearly and answer questions confidently
- Help clients understand their options and decide on the right next step
- Build trust while keeping conversations focused and productive




- Work towards explicit sales targets and performance measures
- Manage multiple priorities and respond to changing client needs
- Maintain accurate information and complete required follow up

What We Are Looking For You may currently work in sales, customer service, banking, insurance, recruitment, retail or another role where you help people make important decisions.

You will be well suited to this opportunity if you:

- Communicate clearly and listen carefully
- Can discuss personal or sensitive subjects with empathy
- Ask good questions and confidently guide conversations
- Enjoy working towards targets and being recognised for results
- Stay organised and composed in a busy environment
- Respond positively to feedback and coaching

Working Hours and Salary This is a full time role working across a varied roster designed around our clients’ availability.

Your shifts will start between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm and finish between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Only two shifts each week will finish at 8:30 pm, giving you a later start on those days.

You will also work one Saturday each month from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

It is essential that you can commit to this roster before applying.

Starting salary:



$75,800 plus super and performance incentives

Salary progression: Up to $86,460 as you develop

Commission: Uncapped from day one
