- Lead, coach, and mentor the Sales, Account Management, and Sales Support teams to maximise individual and team performance.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners to support long term business growth.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through market analysis, strategic prospecting, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Manage sales budgets, pricing, margins, forecasting, and performance reporting to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the sales function, driving process enhancements, change management, and operational efficiency.
The Successful Applicant A successful Sales Manager should have:
- Extensive sales leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and motivate high performing teams
- A proven track record of driving sales growth, winning new business, and delivering strong revenue and margin outcomes within the FMCG Industry
- A passion for embracing growth opportunities and leading ambitious sales team strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and optimising structured sales processes to improve performance and accountability.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence, engage, and develop long term partnerships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial acumen, including experience in pricing, margin management, forecasting, budgeting, and sales analysis.
- Outstanding communication, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative "we before I" leadership style.
