We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated School Psychologist to join our dedicated Wellbeing Team on a full-time term-time parental leave contract for Terms 1-3, 2027.
Based in our vibrant Preparatory School (Preschool-Year 6), this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young boys through counselling, psychoeducational assessment, wellbeing programming, and collaboration with families and staff.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Psychological Services and working closely with the Deputy Head Pastoral Care and Director of Education Support, the School Psychologist plays an integral role within the Preparatory School's pastoral care and student wellbeing framework. The successful candidate will provide psychological support services, contribute to wellbeing initiatives, and work collaboratively with teaching, pastoral and education support teams to enhance student wellbeing, learning, and engagement.
About You The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Psychology or a related field.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong counselling, assessment and report-writing skills.
- Experience administering and interpreting psychoeducational assessments, including cognitive and academic testing.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional ethics and continuous learning.
