As part of the Emergency Response team, you will develop analytical methods and response procedures to solve issues related to HAZMAT/CBRN and Dangerous Goods incidents. You will contribute to research and development programs in this area, provide scientific expertise during emergency response activities, liaise with clients and stakeholders on work in progress, and respond to complex scientific enquiries.
The successful applicant will possess a degree or higher qualification in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
You will thrive in a high-paced team environment and work under high pressure workplace.
You must hold a current WA driver’s licence and participate in HAZMAT/CBRN incident response activities. Participation in a 24/7 on‑call roster is mandatory, which may require intrastate deployment at short notice.
This position is a fixed term, full-time vacancy for 12 months, with the possibility for extension and/or permanency.
