Lead the design of infrastructure that connects communities, strengthens our transport network and supports a growing Central Coast. T****his is a rare opportunity to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of roads, drainage and public infrastructure across one of NSW's largest local government areas.

- Total remuneration package up to $200k + 12% Superannuation + Leaseback Vehicle

- Influence the future of road, drainage, pathway, bridge, wharf and related infrastructure across the Central Coast

The Section Manager Roads and Drainage Design leads and coordinates the investigation, design and development of civil infrastructure projects that support Council's capital works and asset renewal programs. You will provide day-to-day leadership across project investigations, survey coordination, engineering design, modelling, drafting, cost estimation, stakeholder engagement, consultant management and pre-construction approvals. Working through a combination of in-house civil design services and external consultants, you will ensure technical documentation is delivered from project initiation through to construction handover, and provide ongoing design support during delivery.

This role is required to provide quality customer service, clear technical leadership and positive outcomes for the community, Council assets and stakeholders.

Applicant Profile To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline,



or extensive contemporary experience leading and managing a civil infrastructure design section combined with ongoing professional development.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a large and complex organisation, with the ability to lead, develop and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Extensive experience in the planning, investigation and design of road and drainage infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing capital works programs, project priorities, resources, consultants and stakeholders to achieve schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Experience reviewing engineering designs and technical documentation for quality, constructability and compliance.
- The ability to analyse and resolve complex engineering issues and prepare clear technical reports, recommendations and correspondence.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, approvals, standards, procurement, contract management and industry best practice.

Offer Details

- Total remuneration package up to $200k + 12% Superannuation + Leaseback Vehicle
- We have a permanent full time role available
- This role will be able to access a 19 day month
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy.
