Motion recruitment is working with an established electronic security integrator that delivers high-level security solutions across government and major commercial environments, including large stadiums, corporate buildings, museums, hospitals and major venue spaces.
They’re looking for a Security Service Technician with Gallagher access control experience preferred.
This role would be great for the Technician who doesn't want to spend their days doing basic cabling and installation work.
The focus is much more on troubleshooting, fault finding, diagnostics and problem solving. You’ll be working on complex electronic security systems where your technical knowledge and ability to get to the bottom of an issue actually matters.
What you'll be doing
- Servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining Gallagher access control systems
- Diagnosing faults and identifying the root cause of technical issues
- Carrying out repairs, upgrades, programming and system configuration
- Working across large-scale government and commercial sites
- Attending sites where problems aren't always straightforward and finding practical solutions
- Working with other electronic security technologies as required
- Building strong relationships with clients and site teams
- Taking ownership of your work and seeing issues through to resolution
You’ll ideally have:
- Solid experience as a Security Service Technician
- Strong hands-on experience with Gallagher or Genetec access control
- Gallagher Access Technician certification
- A genuine interest in electronics and electronic security systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
- The ability to diagnose an issue rather than simply replace components
- A willingness to keep learning and develop your technical capabilities
Most importantly, you’re someone who likes being challenged. If you enjoy being given a difficult fault, working through it, figuring out what's actually going wrong and getting the system back up and running, you'll probably enjoy this environment.
What’s on offer
- Company vehicle
- Monthly RDO
- Work phone
- Laptop
- Strong work-life balance
- Supportive leadership team
- Genuine opportunity to progress within the electronic security industry
- Exposure to major and technically challenging sites
- A positive team environment where good work is recognised
The leadership team genuinely believes that if you look after your people, they’ll look after you. They’ve built a culture around supporting their technicians, maintaining a positive work-life balance and giving people the opportunity to grow. If you're the type of technician who takes pride in solving the difficult problems, wants to keep developing technically and wants your work to actually be noticed, I'd be keen to have a confidential chat.
