About the role In this role, you will lead complex building assessments, issue Complying Development Certificates (CDCs) and Construction Certificates (CCs), conduct critical stage inspections, and issue Occupation Certificates (OCs).

Key responsibilities

- Assess and determine Complying Development Certificates (CDC), Construction Certificates (CC), and Occupation Certificates (OC)

- Conduct critical stage inspections and site audits for residential, commercial, and multi-unit developments

- Provide technical advice on the National Construction Code (NCC / BCA), Environmental Planning and Assessment Act (EP&A; Act), and relevant Australian Standards

- Liaise with local councils, architects, engineers, builders, and project managers to resolve compliance issues smoothly

- Mentor and assist junior building certifiers and support staff within the office

About you





- Current registration with NSW Fair Trading as a Building Certifier – Class 1 (Restricted A2) is essential

- Minimum 3+ years of experience operating as a registered certifier in NSW (private sector preferred)

- Comprehensive understanding of the NCC/BCA, NSW Planning Legislation, and local government planning policies

- Current, full NSW Driver's License

- Exceptional communication, solid negotiation capabilities, high attention to detail, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
