Senior Conduct Officer Intake

Location - Parramatta - Flexibility is offered hybrid working in accordance with the DCJ flexible working policy

Employment type – Ongoing full time role

Salary - $133,348.00 - $146,945.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

As the Senior Conduct Officer Intake, you will lead the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Conduct Unit’s intake and reporting functions. You will provide oversight and guidance to a team responding to conduct enquiries from Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) employees, ensuring enquiries are managed consistently, professionally and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. You will play a key role in supporting effective referrals, record keeping and handover of matters, while maintaining quality assurance and contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, responsive conduct intake service.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for guiding, mentoring and managing the Conduct Intake team. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, conducting trend and hotspot analysis, ensuring compliance with information management, and supporting the Reporting Intake Line Officers’ workflows and escalations.

The role also contributes to change management, training and communication activities that support the implementation of the Conduct Assistance Line (a phone line service for CSNSW and DCJ employees to report and seek assistance regarding conduct matters).

The Conduct Intake team is a new established team within the Conduct Unit. The team is committed to maintaining integrity, accountability, and delivery of high-quality services to stakeholders across DCJ and CSNSW. The environment is fast paced and varied, offering opportunities to work closely with operational staff, leaders, and business partners.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in intake, reporting or frontline advisory functions, ideally within a regulated or sensitive environment.

You will have demonstrated experience supervising and supporting staff, with a strong focus on performance,



capability development and delivering high-quality services. A sound understanding of conduct, integrity or compliance frameworks, together with a sound understanding of information handling, data quality and record management principles, will be highly valued.

You will also bring excellent communication, sound judgement and strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and confidently navigate sensitive and complex matters.
