ACT Treasury, within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD), has a vacancy for a Senior Econometrician / Economist in its Macroeconomics Team.
The position operates as a senior technical specialist within a small, highly‑skilled team and plays a critical role in high‑risk, high‑profile central agency processes, including the Budget, Budget Review and Pre‑Election Budget Update.
You will prepare economic indicator briefs and contribute to other products including speeches and question time briefs on economic issues, and other modelling and analysis. You will undertake econometric modelling and quantitative analysis to support forecasts of economic variables and revenue estimates that are published in the ACT Budget. As a key member of the Macroeconomics team, there will be opportunities to be involved in a range of economic analysis, forecasting and policy projects in this part of Treasury.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics and/or econometrics is highly desirable.
- Studies in actuarial studies/ finance/mathematics or complementary discipline are desirable.
