Role: Senior Environment & DevOps Manager – Banking Technology
Location: Sydney, NSW
Duration: 6 months
Job Details:
Must Have Skills:
1.Lead end-to-end environment implementation, management across banking delivery programs, ensuring environments are available, stable, fit-for-purpose and aligned to release and testing demand.
2.Gather, validate and manage environment requirements, dependencies, allocation, availability, planned downtime and contention across multiple teams and releases.
3.Maintain a central workplace repository covering application versions, connectivity, infrastructure, data refresh status, dependencies, third-party integrations and known production differences.
4.Coordinate with application, testing, infrastructure, cloud, database, network, security and release teams to support environment readiness and delivery outcomes.
5.Plan and govern deployment schedules, release windows, environment changes, freeze periods, data refresh activities and key environment risks.
6.Drive & Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD enablement,
automated deployments, configuration management, environment provisioning and continuous improvement of delivery pipelines.
7.Partner with release engineers and platform teams to automate environment setup, build, deployment, validation and monitoring activities.
8.Resolve environment-related incidents, defects, blockers and conflicts to maintain reliable lower environments and support effective cohabitation.
9.Support banking controls including change governance, auditability, data protection, access management, masking requirements and production alignment.
10.Improve delivery efficiency through automation, standardised processes, self-service capabilities, governance improvements and proactive stakeholder communication.
Nice to Have Skills:
- ITIL, DevOps, cloud related certification or equivalent practical experience is advantageous.
Minimum Years of Experience : 12 years
