About the role

Eva's Edge Hair Studio is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hairdresser to join our team in Dandenong North, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to showcase your expertise and passion for hair. As a Senior Hairdresser, you will be at the forefront of our salon, delivering exceptional styling, cutting, colouring and treatment services to our valued clients.

This role is integral to maintaining the high standards and reputation Eva's Edge Hair Studio is known for, and you will play a key part in creating a welcoming, professional environment for both clients and team members.

What you'll be doing

- Provide superior hair cutting, styling, and colouring services to clients, utilising the latest techniques and trends
- Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences and hair care requirements, offering professional recommendations
- Perform specialised treatments including keratin straightening, and deep conditioning therapies
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety and sanitation in the salon at all times
- Maintain accurate client records and product usage to ensure continuity of care and business efficiency
- Stay up to date with current hair trends, techniques and products to provide informed advice and innovative services
- Contribute to a positive salon atmosphere and assist in creating an exceptional customer experience
- Manage casual shifts flexibly as required by the salon schedule

What we're looking for

- A recognised qualification in hairdressing or equivalent professional experience in a salon environment
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a professional hairdresser, with demonstrated expertise in cutting, colouring and styling
- Advanced knowledge of hair types, textures, conditions and appropriate treatments
- Proficiency in a range of colouring techniques including highlights, balayage, permanent and semi-permanent colour application




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide less experienced stylists
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently within a busy salon environment
- A commitment to maintaining professional standards of appearance, hygiene and conduct
- Knowledge of salon management systems and appointment scheduling software (desirable)
