Your impact
As a Senior ICT Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects across Australia and New Zealand. You will work closely with clients, project teams and Jacobs’ regional and global technical specialists to develop practical, innovative and technically excellent solutions.
You will also play an important role in strengthening Jacobs’ technical capability, developing client relationships and supporting the growth of our business.
What you'll do
- Deliver technically excellent ICT engineering designs, reviews and consultancy services.
- Lead or contribute to projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality.
- Provide design management, technical assurance and independent review of project deliverables.
- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key public- and private-sector clients.
- Support business development, work winning, proposals and the identification of future opportunities.
- Collaborate with Client Account Managers, Sales teams and technical leaders to respond to emerging client needs.
- Contribute to Jacobs’ technical reputation through thought leadership, industry engagement and client presentations.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across ANZ, APAC and Jacobs’ global delivery network.
- Promote a strong safety, quality and inclusion culture.
Here's what you'll need
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT, electrical engineering, communications engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience delivering ICT engineering and consultancy services.
- Experience independently developing, reviewing or assuring technical designs and project deliverables.
- Experience managing project scope, quality, programme and commercial outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of business development and work winning.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or developing less experienced team members.
- A collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- A commitment to safety, quality, inclusion and professional excellence.
