Where you'll be working

Join the Occupational Therapy team at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, where you will work across inpatient and outpatient settings alongside multidisciplinary teams. You will be part of a service committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and supporting the career development of clinicians.

- Work across acute inpatient wards, cancer and haematology outpatients and lymphoedema clinics
- Collaborate with allied health, nursing, medical and other healthcare professionals
- Provide senior clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to developing clinicians
- Contribute to research, quality improvement and the advancement of clinical practice
- Support positive patient experiences through person-centred, goal-focused care

What You'll Be Doing As a Level 3 Senior Occupational Therapist, you will bring advanced clinical expertise and professional judgement to complex presentations across cancer and lymphoedema services.

- Availability to work Wednesdays
- Provide advanced assessment and intervention across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Deliver specialist OT services in oncology, haematology, palliative care and lymphoedema




- Provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1/2 OTs, allied health assistants and students
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to complex and changing needs
- Lead and contribute to professional development, research and quality improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

- Qualification: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy accepted for registration with AHPRA
- Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapy

Selection criteria

- Current Registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and Current Drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
- Advanced level of clinical knowledge and experience across a range of conditions, including training and experience in lymphoedema management.
- Demonstrated high level skills in verbal, non-verbal and written communication in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary context.
- Demonstrated well developed clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in an outpatient setting within a multidisciplinary team,



with ability to provide clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in staff and student supervision.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical / administrative demands.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in service development, risk management and quality improvement initiatives
