About the role
n
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking a Registered Nurse in our Surgical/Medical Ward to join the team in a permanent part-time or full-time basis (negotiable). This role will be based in the private ward within Mater Springfield Hospital.
n
The main specialties we cover are:
n

- Orthopaedics
n
- ENT
n
- Gynaecology
n
- Urology
n
- General Surgery
n
n
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing
n
n
- Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit
n
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
n
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued qualified growth
n
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
n
- Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients
n
n
About you
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- 12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desirable not essential)
n
- Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
n
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
n
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
n
- Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
n
