CSSD Team Leader

$40.34 to $41.92/hr + super + NFP salary packaging

A leading not-for-profit hospital group in Brisbane is looking for an experienced CSSD Team Leader to coordinate day-to-day sterilisation and reprocessing operations across a busy 14-theatre complex, reporting to a newly created Surgical Support Services Manager role.

About the Role

- Coordinate day-to-day CSSD operations, ensuring instrument reprocessing is completed within required timeframes and service standards
- Hold technical and clinical governance for sterilisation, disinfection and instrument reprocessing practices
- Prepare and maintain rosters, allocate staff and workload, and provide day-to-day supervision and coaching to CSSD Technicians and Assistants
- Coordinate quality assurance activities, audits and documentation, and support continuous improvement
- Liaise with operating theatres and clinical departments on instrument availability and service requirements

What We're Looking For

- Certificate III in Sterilisation Services, with Certificate IV held or a willingness to obtain it within an agreed timeframe
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a CSSD Sterilisation Technician




- Previous experience in a senior CSSD technician, coordinator or Team Leader role
- Current National Police Check, or ability to obtain and maintain one

Desirable, not essential:

- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent supervisory qualification
- Qualification in Training and Assessment
