Role Description The Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring that BlockBlueLight’s products, marketing, and operations comply with applicable regulations and standards across multiple regions. This role involves monitoring regulatory developments, interpreting requirements, and translating them into clear policies, procedures, and product documentation. The specialist will conduct compliance risk assessments, perform internal audits, and collaborate with product development, quality, legal, and marketing teams to embed compliance into design and communication.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing product claims and labels,
preparing and maintaining regulatory submissions and certifications, responding to regulatory inquiries, and supporting remediation activities when issues arise. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, training team members on regulatory obligations, and supporting expansion into recent markets and product categories in a compliant and ethical manner.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Regulatory Compliance and Regulatory Requirements related to consumer health, wellness, or medical-adjacent products.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex regulations, assess risks, and make sound recommendations.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating across teams, drafting policies, and preparing clear regulatory documentation.
- Experience with Quality Assurance practices, including internal audits, process controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Relevant experience in regulatory roles within wellness, healthcare, medical devices, or consumer products, preferably across multiple regions (e.g., US, UK, AU, NZ).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Regulatory Affairs, Public Health, Life Sciences, Law, Quality Management, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in regulatory affairs or compliance are an advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail and integrity.
