Rapid Clean Newcastle requires an experienced senior warehouse/driver. Systems experience with freight would be an advantage.
The role is Monday-Friday 38 hour work week starting 8am daily. Reporting to an Operations Manager, the role includes warehouse picking and packing of orders, replenishing shelves, and driving company vans (Crafter and Toyota HiAce) around Newcastle and Hunter Valley. Experience in guiding team members would be a major advantage. Working knowledge of Newcastle and Hunter Valley towns and routes is essential to guiding staff. A forklift licence is essential.
Our drivers need to be presentable as the face of our business at customer sites, able to fluently communicate to customers and colleagues, be accurate and reliable. Operators need to be fit and capable of carrying cartons, and moving cleaning machines up and down ramps into vans. GPS assists deliveries and vans have trackers to assist performance.
Candidates must have both delivery and warehouse picking experience. English fluency is essential for communication with the internal team and customers.

Job tasks and responsibilities The role operates in the warehouse and retail store selecting stock for delivery, guiding team members at start of day on routes and priorities, and sometimes during the day from the field. Internal work includes processing picking and packing for accurate delivery in company vehicles. Staff are expected to work constructively and co-operatively at all times with team members in sales and accounts.
We do not tolerate any abuse of staff from either external or internal persons.
Deliveries are of equipment and consumables, and include service equipment collection of scrubbers, sweepers and vacuums. Staff will be expected to learn safe handling of equipment and chemical products. As the delivery face of the business, courtesy and professional attitude, respectable appearance and behaviour, will continue the high standards in place.
Skills and experience
Skills required include articulate English, numeracy, high commitment to accuracy and reliability. Perfect driving skills will protect the driver, vehicle and inventory.
Experience working with parts and equipment would be an advantage.
