Role Description

This remote internship role focuses on social media marketing and product design support for DCD Team. Day-to-day tasks include creating and editing social media content, assisting with visual storytelling of projects, and helping to grow the online presence across relevant platforms. The intern will support product design activities by contributing to concept development, preparing basic CAD visuals, and assisting with documentation for client presentations and marketing materials.

Assist in planning and scheduling content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok (and others as needed)

Create short-form content (Reels/TikToks), carousels, simple graphics, and captions

Help maintain a consistent brand voice, look and feel across channels

Qualifications

- Robust foundational skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, with an interest in linking design outcomes to compelling visual communication.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to support concept visualization and refinement.
- Understanding of Product Development processes, including ideation, prototyping,



and preparing designs for manufacture or marketing.
- Interest or experience in social media marketing, content creation, and visual storytelling for design or technology-focused brands.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree or diploma in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
- Portfolio or examples of prior design or social media work that demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and initiative.
