About the Role

This senior specialist role will lead and influence service quality, practice excellence and continuous improvement across HOPE’s core service streams, including AOD, Family and Domestic Violence, Youth Justice and Mental Health, including headspace.

Working closely with Service Operations leadership and key organisational portfolios, you’ll provide expert advice, build practice capability and translate evidence, learning and assurance findings into practical improvements that strengthen service quality, client safety and outcomes.

You’ll play a key role in embedding contemporary, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, strengths-based, person-centred and culturally safe practice across HOPE.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide specialist advice to Service Operations leadership on practice, quality and client safety.
- Support the implementation of practice frameworks, guidelines, tools and resources.
- Lead and support continuous improvement, service reviews and practice development initiatives.
- Analyse service data, client feedback, incidents, complaints and outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate Communities of Practice, coaching, consultation and knowledge sharing.
- Support the implementation of HOPE’s Clinical and Practice Governance Framework.
- Represent Service Operations in relevant quality, risk, assurance and governance activities.
- Work collaboratively across service streams to strengthen integration, referral pathways and client outcomes.
- Lead the Service and Practice Excellence Strategic Initiative.

You'll Need

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or a related health or human services discipline.
- Significant experience in senior practice or clinical leadership, service development, service improvement or service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary evidence-informed practice and the ability to translate evidence into practical service delivery.
- Experience in one or more of Mental Health, AOD, FDV, Youth Justice or youth services.
- Strong understanding of service quality, client safety, practice governance and continuous improvement.
- Experience using data, client feedback, incidents and other information to identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Postgraduate qualifications, professional registration and experience in service evaluation, quality improvement, service design or quality and assurance will be highly regarded.

Pre-employment requirements

- Current C or A Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
- Department of Justice Clearance
- Working With Children Check
