About the role

North Jacklin Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Mackay, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our automotive service operations. As a Service Advisor, you will be the vital link between our customers and our service department, ensuring that every vehicle receives exceptional care whilst customers receive outstanding service and support.

This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction within the local Mackay community.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and understanding their vehicle service and repair needs in a professional and friendly manner
- Inspecting vehicles and documenting service requirements, damage and customer concerns accurately
- Providing customers with honest, detailed quotes and recommendations for vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Scheduling service appointments and managing the service workflow to optimise technician productivity
- Following up with customers during their service to provide updates on progress and any additional work identified
- Processing customer payments and handling invoicing with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintaining detailed service records and ensuring all documentation is completed correctly
- Building strong customer relationships and addressing any concerns or complaints professionally and promptly
- Assisting in promoting service packages, warranties and additional services to customers
- Collaborating with service technicians to ensure work quality and timely completion

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information in clear, non-technical terms




- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to manage multiple customer appointments and service schedules
- Proficiency in using computer systems and dealership management software
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing and basic mechanical terminology
- A professional appearance and demeanor that reflects well on the business
- The ability to work independently whilst being part of a collaborative team environment
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints with patience and professionalism
- A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- A valid driver's license is essential
