About the role
As a SOAR Engineer (12 months Max Term Contract) within the Security Operations team, you will play a key role in advancing CBUS' cyber security automation, orchestration and incident response capabilities. Working across a broad range of security technologies, you will design and implement automated workflows, integrations and playbooks that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort and strengthen security outcomes.
This is a highly impactful role that sits at the intersection of cyber security, engineering and automation. You will partner with Security Operations, Detection Engineering and technology teams to streamline processes, enhance incident response and support the ongoing maturity of CBUS' security operations capability. Your work will help improve response times, reduce operational risk and enable security teams to focus on higher-value activities that better protect CBUS and its members.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop and maintain SOAR playbooks, automated workflows and response capabilities.
- Build integrations across security, technology and business platforms to improve incident response and operational efficiency.
- Automate security event enrichment, analysis, reporting and remediation activities.
- Partner with cyber and technology teams to identify and deliver automation opportunities.
- Develop reporting, metrics and insights that support continuous improvement and operational maturity.
What will you bring?
- Experience with SOAR platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Logic Apps, Cortex XSOAR or similar technologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, APIs and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of SIEM, incident response, threat detection and automated remediation workflows.
- Experience integrating security technologies including Microsoft 365, IAM, DLP, email security and threat intelligence platforms.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills.
