We are seeking a positive and friendly Canteen Assistant to work alongside the Canteen Manager in the operation of our busy school canteen for one day each at our Kenwick and Wilson Campuses starting in Term 1 2027.

About the Position
The successful applicant will be a friendly, reliable and organised individual who enjoys serving others and working as part of a team. They will be able to communicate effectively with young people, parents and staff, while building positive relationships across the College community.
The role requires someone who can work efficiently in a busy environment, liaise with suppliers, prepare fresh ingredients, pack orders, and assist with the smooth day-to-day operation of the canteen. The successful applicant will take pride in providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and contributing to a welcoming environment for students, staff and parents.
This is a part-time contract during term time only,
for 1 day a week on Tuesdays at Kenwick and Thursdays at Wilson. The formal work hours will be from 7:30am - 1:30pm. The successful candidate should also be available for relief as needed.

You will also need to be an exceptional communicator and have an outstanding ability to work collaboratively with staff and students. This is where your pastoral heart and passion for education will shine.
Applicants must demonstrate (by way of a testimonial letter from your pastor/elder):
- active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, and
- a consistent and exemplary Christian lifestyle.
Essential Requirements
- must hold or be willing to attain a certificate in food hygiene and safety
- you must have a passion for providing excellent customer service
- you must hold or obtain a Working with Children Check , and
- you must hold or obtain a Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check that is no more than three months old.
