About this role

Ready to build something from the ground up? This newly created Media Specialist role will sit at the heart of nib's in-house media buying capability, managing day-to-day campaign activity and driving performance across media platforms.

As Media Specialist, you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on campaign execution to plan, manage and optimise paid media across Google, Meta and other performance channels. You'll partner with brand, digital, analytics, content and agency teams to strengthen measurement, improve marketing efficiency and establish a best-practice in-house media function across our growing portfolio of businesses.

About you
You're an experienced performance marketer with at least four years' experience in digital media buying or paid acquisition.

You'll be expected to be hands-on in platform, regularly building, launching, optimising and reporting on campaigns directly in Google Ads, SA360, Meta Ads Manager and other relevant paid media platforms. This is not a purely strategic, coordination or agency-management role; we're looking for someone who is confident working inside the tools, making data-led optimisation decisions and translating performance into clear insights and actions.

Analytical and commercially minded, you'll be comfortable using SA360, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Looker Studio and tag management solutions to monitor performance, uncover opportunities and improve acquisition and lead generation outcomes. You'll understand key performance metrics including CPA, ROAS and conversion rates, and use them to drive continuous campaign improvement.

Desired skills:

- Experience in insurance, financial services, technology, health or NDIS sectors

- Google Ads and/or Meta certifications

- In platform experience within a DSP such as The Trade Desk or similar

- Experience with customer data platforms, CRM integrations and marketing automation

- Experience building or transitioning media buying capabilities from agency-managed to in-house models

- Experience in developing and presenting media plans, recommendations and reports to stakeholders

Don't tick every box? If this role excites you and you bring relevant experience, we'd still love to hear from you.
