CFE Group are seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker to join our team and support our fabrication and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, assembly and repair of structural steel and fabricated components, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in their work and is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel and general metal fabrication.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Carry out MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding as required.
- Measure, mark, cut, drill, fit and assemble steel components.
- Complete fabrication and repair work to required specifications and tolerances.
- Operate workshop machinery, tools and equipment safely and correctly.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members.
- Previous experience in structural steel or general fabrication.
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian fabrication and welding standards.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A current driver's licence is desirable.
