The Role
As the face of our motel, you will be the first point of contact, ensuring guests have a seamless, structured and positive experience from start to finish.
We are seeking a motivated member to join our Guest Services Team. We would love to have you join us to provide exceptional, friendly service through check-ins, reservations, and local recommendations. The role focuses on making guests feel at home, requiring strong communication skills, active listening, problem-solving, and positive energy.
Sharing a fortnightly rotating roster averaging 45-50 hours per fortnight; with a 2 day/4day split – specific hours noted below.

Immediate Start Available
Flexibility is encouraged and working a mixture of shifts. Additional hours may be required from time to time to cover leave within the team. Weekends and some Public Holiday availability is ESSENTIAL.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming Service: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in/check-out process.
- Enquiry Handling: Respond to guest requests, phone calls, and emails regarding reservations, amenities, and local information.
- Reservations & Administration: Manage bookings, update room availability, and handle transactions using property management systems.
- Local Knowledge: Provide insights on local attractions, eateries, and transport to enhance the guest experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
- Billing & Records: Process payments,
update guest billing details, and maintain accurate reservation records.
- Operational Support: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready, guest needs are met and maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in adhering to guidelines, confidentiality and maintaining accurate records.
- Service Recovery: Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction.
What We Are Looking For
- Friendly & Professional Demeanor: A positive "can-do" attitude and the ability to connect with diverse guests.
- Initiative: Ability to solve problems independently and go above and beyond.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to handle front desk duties and back-office tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced workplace.
- Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus, but not essential. On the job training can be provided. Would ideally hold current certificates for, First Aid and Food Safety Handling.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems and computer software.
- Additional: A 'hands on' approach to general reception duties, including but not limited to, on site laundry, preparing breakfast to serve and small kitchen tasks.
