We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Urban Forest Services team as an Urban Forest Services Cadet. This exciting opportunity combines paid workplace experience with tertiary study, allowing you to develop practical skills and industry knowledge while contributing to the protection and enhancement of Camden's growing urban canopy.

Working alongside experienced urban forestry and environmental professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in tree management, urban greening projects, ecological restoration, and landscape assessment. Essential:

- Currently undertaking, or demonstrated ability to enrol, in a tertiary qualification in Arboriculture (AQF5)
- Ability to show interest in arboriculture, urban forestry, landscape management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks, and to balance study and workplace commitments effectively
- Ability to work Independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn
- stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution, and the ability to use sound judgement when supporting recommendations
- Current Class C Drivers Licence

Desirable:

- Knowledge or urban forest management, tree assessment, or vegetation assessment
- Understanding of local government operations relevant to urban forest management
