The Rehabilitation Specialists is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic team in Sydney Team. We are recruiting for 1 full-time position and 1 part-time position, both offering above award rates to recognise the expertise and dedication we value in our practitioners.
You'll work with a diverse caseload across a range of ages, diagnoses and support needs. The role combines clinical assessment, practical problem-solving and relationship-building, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine difference while enjoying variety in your day-to-day work.
Whether you're recommending assistive technology, completing functional assessments, supporting skill development or helping participants navigate life transitions, you'll be part of a team that values quality outcomes and person-centred practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy and functional capacity assessments
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participant goals
- Complete assessments for assistive technology and support recommendations
- Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote independence, participation and quality of life
- Provide education, coaching and practical strategies to participants, families and support networks
- Prepare high-quality clinical reports and supporting documentation
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needs change
- Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, healthcare professionals and community stakeholders
- Contribute to a positive,
supportive and clinically strong team culture
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- A current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain
- A current driver's licence and willingness to undertake community visits
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently while remaining connected to a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to person-centred, evidence-based practice
Highly Regarded
- Experience working within the NDIS
- Experience completing functional capacity assessments, assistive technology assessments or home modification assessments
- Community-based occupational therapy experience
- Experience supporting participants with physical, psychosocial, neurological or developmental disabilities
