Are you highly organised, great with people and interested in supporting projects that help shape the future of our communities?
We are looking for a Strategic Planning Project Support Officer to provide administration and project support to our Strategic Planning team.
This permanent part time role is 0.6 EFT, You will help keep projects, information and customer requests on track while supporting planning scheme amendments, development plan overlay requests, engagement activities and other strategic planning projects. The role will include community engagement and consultation activities.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the team with a broad range of administration and project tasks, including:
- Coordinating correspondence, referrals, registers, records and workflows
- Supporting planning scheme amendment and development plan overlay processes
- Helping maintain project information, SharePoint sites, databases and tracking tools
- Assisting with community engagement, stakeholder meetings and communication tasks
- Providing professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting procurement, purchase orders, agendas, minutes and general administration.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, confident with administration and able to work well with a range of people.
You will bring:
- Experience in administration, project support or customer service
- Robust communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic records or database systems
- A helpful, professional approach when working with customers and stakeholders
- A demonstrated commitment to learning and innovation
- Ability to work in a team environment, fast paced and attention to detail.
- An interest in planning, local government or community engagement.
Experience in local government,
urban planning or planning-related systems would be highly regarded but is not essential.
