About the role

Working within Licensing Services, you will:

- lead the day-to-day operations, workload management and development of a small team, providing coaching, mentoring and technical guidance
- deliver licensing training for recent starters and refresher training for existing employees, including training delivered at QBCC regional offices
- develop, review and improve licensing guides, procedures and supporting resources
- act as a subject matter expert across all licensing streams, including builder, trade and occupational licensing

This position is based in Brisbane and flexible arrangements can be considered upon application, including working remotely at a Regional QBCC office subject to availability. While the role allows for flexibility in working from home, regular in-person attendance at the QBCC office is a mandatory requirement.

- demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to develop the capability of others
- strong knowledge of licensing processes, legislation, policies and procedures
- experience delivering training
- experience making sound decisions in complex matters where judgement and discretion are required
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- the ability to build effective working relationships and provide practical advice

- Contributing to change management, process improvement or quality assurance activities
- Working in a regulatory, licensing or government environment
- Designing, implementing or delivering learning and development programs
