The Role
We are looking for a Facility Assistant to join our team at Alanvale.
This is a practical and varied role where you will help maintain the campus to a clean, safe and presentable standard. You will work across a range of tasks including cleaning, grounds keeping and general facility support.
The available shift is:
- Alanvale: 6:30am–10:30am
You will be part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a welcoming setting for our learners, staff and visitors.
On any given day, you may:
- Clean facilities and common areas across the campus.
- Refill paper, soap and towel dispensers.
- Empty bins and wastebaskets.
- Clean and tidy outdoor areas.
- Order and distribute routine supplies.
- Activate and deactivate building security systems as required.
- Operate a range of cleaning equipment and complete other routine facility tasks.
What will you bring?
You will be someone who takes pride in your work and enjoys being part of a team. You will also bring:
- Basic knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals and general safe work practices.
- Basic knowledge or experience in cleaning and/or grounds keeping.
- The ability to adapt, use initiative and respond to changing priorities.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and operate a variety of cleaning equipment.
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
