The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Carpenter who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship and can work independently as part of a remote maintenance team.
Based on our Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands contract, you'll spend your days tackling a diverse range of carpentry tasks, from reactive repairs and planned maintenance through to refurbishments, renovations and small construction projects. You probably see this a lot, but no two days really are the same!
This is more than just a maintenance role. It's an opportunity to use your trade skills in a practical and meaningful way, helping maintain safe, functional homes and community facilities across some of Australia's most unique and culturally significant communities.
Key Responsibilities
- General carpentry maintenance and repairs
- Installing and repairing doors, windows, flooring and fixtures
- Kitchen, bathroom and interior refurbishments
- Minor renovation and upgrade works
- Flooring, cladding and fencing repairs
- Small construction projects
- Identifying maintenance issues and recommending solutions
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship
- Building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification in Carpentry
- Current White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Work Safely at Heights certificate
- National Police Check & Working With Children Check (we can assist with these)
- Ability to work independently in remote locations
- Solid problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and quality outcomes
- Experience in maintenance environments highly regarded
- Strong background in electrical maintenance and fault-finding
- Ability to work safely, professionally and independently in remote conditions
- Remote or regional experience is highly regarded
