About the role

The Manly Store Manager is more than just a retail leader; you are the face of Australia for thousands of locals and tourists walking through our doors each week. This is an opportunity to represent one of the country's most iconic brands at one of Australia's most iconic tourist destinations: Manly Beach. Your mission is to bring the Aussie spirit to life inside the store; the laid-back charm, the larrikin humour, and make sure every customer leaves feeling like they've just had a brush with the best of the country. This role is split across four days in-store, delivering an outstanding customer experience and leading a high-energy team, with one day each week out in the community, connecting with surf clubs, schools, local businesses, and partners to strengthen our roots in the Manly lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the Manly Store by creating a retail experience that's as fun and vibrant as the brand itself
- Keep shelves stocked with fresh designs (weekly drops) and ensure the store is pumping with valuable vibes
- Recruit, train, and inspire a passionate casual team who proudly wear the brand
- Plan for weather, events, and seasonal traffic – Manly always has something happening
- Be the eyes and ears of the store – report wins, challenges, and feedback weekly to head office




- Deliver best-in-class customer service that leaves people grinning
- Know the product range like the back of your hand and help customers find their perfect pair
- Create unforgettable moments with in-store events and brand activations
- One day per week, engage with the Manly community, partnering with local legends: surf clubs, schools, restaurants, fitness groups, sports clubs, and anyone else living the Manly life
- Help plan pop-up events and activations with the Retail and Marketing teams to grow the Budgy Fam

About you

- A genuine love for Summer, Budgy Smuggler, and all things Aussie
- 2+ years of retail leadership experience, ideally in fashion or lifestyle brands
- A magnetic personality that draws people in and keeps them coming back
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Event or community engagement experience (bonus)
- You thrive in dynamic, high-energy environments
