About the role

Automation Acoustics is seeking an experienced, full time Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the company’s sales pipeline and marketing strategy as we scale from an engineering-led start-up into a commercially mature technology company. Based at our Hawthorn, Victoria head office and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the end-to-end commercial engine of the business: identifying and converting sales opportunities with advanced manufacturers and OEMs, building the marketing strategy and brand presence that supports those sales efforts, and developing the systems, messaging and reporting needed to support our growth in Australia and international markets, including our ACOUXIA platform launch. This is a hands-on, build-from-the-ground-up role suited to someone who has led brand and marketing functions in growth-phase or scale-up environments and is comfortable also owning commercial relationships and pipeline.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Develop and execute the company’s brand strategy, positioning and go-to-market approach as we scale.

- Develop and implement an annual marketing strategy and budget aligned with company growth targets, covering brand positioning, digital marketing, content, trade events and public relations.

- Plan and execute marketing campaigns (digital, content, email, social and industry events) to generate qualified leads for the sales pipeline.

- Manage the company website, marketing collateral, case studies and technical content in collaboration with the engineering team, ensuring materials accurately represent Automation Acoustics’ products and value proposition.

- Originate and build relationships and partnerships with manufacturers, OEMs and integration partners in Australia and export markets, and manage those relationships through to commercial opportunities.

- Manage the sales pipeline and CRM,

including prospecting, proposal support, negotiation support and reporting, working closely with the Managing Director on deal progression and forecasting.

- Build and manage relationships with existing customers and channel/integration partners to identify upsell, renewal and referral opportunities.

- Represent Automation Acoustics at industry trade shows, conferences and customer site visits in Australia and overseas as required.

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new market segments, customer needs and opportunities for product positioning.

- Collaborate with engineering and leadership to translate technical capability into customer-facing value propositions and pricing.

- Prepare regular sales and marketing performance reports for the Managing Director, including pipeline status, conversion metrics and campaign ROI.

Selection criteria

Essential:

- A minimum of five (5) years of full-time relevant experience in a sales and/or marketing management role, ideally within a technology, industrial, manufacturing or B2B environment.

- Demonstrated experience managing a B2B sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract close.

- Demonstrated experience planning and executing marketing strategy and campaigns, including digital marketing and content development.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for commercial audiences.

- Proficiency with CRM and marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce,

LinkedIn Campaign Manager, or equivalent).

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for trade events and customer visits as required.

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Proficient language skills (spoken and written) in at least one among Italian, Spanish, French and German to support engagement with existing and prospective European customers and partners.

Desirable:

- Experience selling into advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, IoT/Industry 4.0, or deep-tech/AI sectors.

- Experience marketing and selling early-stage or scale-up technology products or platforms.

- Experience with AI-enabled marketing or sales tools (e.g. automated prospecting, CRM automation, performance dashboards).

About us

Automation Acoustics is an Australian deep-tech company that converts manufacturing process sounds into real-time intelligence, using acoustic monitoring and artificial intelligence. Our technology captures the tacit skill of experienced operators — the ability to "hear when something is wrong" — and turns it into transferable, automated process intelligence for advanced manufacturers, including 3D metal printing and precision manufacturing environments. We work with Tier 1 manufacturers, OEMs, integration partners and government customers across Australia, the United States and Europe, and are launching ACOUXIA, a platform that lets manufacturers build their own acoustic AI solutions, in late 2026. We are an Australian solution born from research and science, built for the benefit of global industry.

Please include the answer to the following question in your cover letter: what advanced manufacturing technology have you heard of that’s being used in the EU?
