Are you practical, reliable and someone who takes pride in keeping a property looking its best?

Summerstar Tourist Parks is looking for a casual Groundsperson / Caretaker to join the team at Bunbury Apartment Motel.

This is a hands-on role working approximately 3 days per week, helping with the general upkeep, maintenance and presentation of the Motel. The role also includes responsibility for the night phone and responding to after-hours guest call-outs on your rostered days.

A little about the role

As our Groundsperson / Caretaker, you will help keep the Motel safe, tidy and well maintained for our guests and team.

Your duties will include:

- General repairs and maintenance around the Motel

- Groundskeeping and minor landscaping

- Pool maintenance and testing – training can be provided

- Keeping common areas, grounds and guest facilities clean, tidy and well presented

- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues requiring further attention

- Assisting with other practical, hands-on tasks around the property as required

- Carrying the night phone on rostered days and responding to after-hours guest callouts when required

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who is practical, dependable and comfortable working independently.

Previous experience in grounds, maintenance, caretaking, trades or a similar hands-on role would be highly regarded. Just as importantly, you will need to be proactive,



have good problem-solving skills and be willing to lend a hand where needed.

You will also need to be physically capable of undertaking the manual aspects of the role and comfortable dealing with guests professionally if called upon after hours.

Because this position includes responsibility for the night phone and responding to after-hours call-outs, you must meet the following requirements to be considered:

You have your own caravan and are happy to reside onsite. A powered site with your own ablutions block and kitchen will be provided.
