Mal Wood Automotive is a well-known automotive company, located in Warwick, Queensland. We are experts in automotive components, manufacturing, automotive repairs and driveline conversions. We are also Australia’s only elite distributor of TREMEC transmissions and parts. We have great staff all motivated to assist in the continued development and expansion of a company, that has been in business for more than 50 years.

Fitter/Turner, Machinist
Mechanic
Trade's Assistant

Fitter/Turner, Machinist:

The right applicant will have:
Great pride in workmanship
Clean and tidy appearance
Manual Machinist experience
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Be able to work in a team setting
Valuable time management skills
Driveline experience a bonus but not required
Positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must
Reliable and consistent

Your role will include:




Modifications to transmission assemblies and components
Machining of castings
Basic fabrication
Assisting in R&D;
Basic milling and lathe work

Mechanic:

The right applicant will have:
Great pride in workmanship
Clean and tidy appearance
Be able to work in a team environment
Good time management skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must
Reliable and consistent
Excellent time management

Your role will include:
General Mechanical Repairs
Driveline experience is an advantage
Clutch and Transmission fitting
Differential and Driveshaft repairs
Transmission and Diff rebuilds

Trade's Assistant:

What you’ll be doing:
Assisting the Mechanical team
Washing and preparing components
Cleaning

What you need:
Productive and energetic work ethic
Able to work autonomously
Attention to detail, team mentality and a positive attitude
Qualified presentation
