This is primarily a customer service and front counter sales role. You'll be one of the first people our customers meet when they visit or contact Melbourne Brick, helping them with enquiries, product selections, orders and general advice.
Key responsibilities
Greeting and assisting customers at our front counter and showroom
Answering incoming phone and email enquiries
Helping customers select suitable products
Preparing quotes and processing orders
Following up customer enquiries
Assisting builders, bricklayers and other trade customers
Working closely with our sales and yard team
Learning our range of bricks, pavers and associated products
About you
Genuinely enjoys helping and talking to customers
Has a friendly, positive and professional manner
Is reliable, punctual and well organised
Is comfortable using computers and learning current systems
Can communicate confidently in person, over the phone and by email
Enjoys working as part of a small, experienced team
Is willing to learn and isn't afraid to ask questions
Can manage several customer enquiries while staying organised
Previous experience in customer service, retail, trade sales, hardware, building supplies or a similar workplace would be an advantage, but isn't essential
