About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our growing production team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Upholstering custom sofas, chairs and commercial furniture
Preparing furniture and components for upholstery
Cutting, fitting and securing upholstery materials
Operating staple guns and other hand and power tools
Working from drawings, specifications and reference samples
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
Working independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines
Following workplace safety and manual-handling procedures
About You
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Previous upholstery experience or a relevant trade qualification
Experience upholstering and preparing sofas and other furniture
Robust staple-gun skills
Confidence using hand and power tools
Experience in an industrial, furniture-production or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of safe manual-handling practices
Excellent attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
The ability to work efficiently in a busy production setting
Hours and Benefits
Full-time, permanent position
Monday to Thursday, approximately 8:00 am–4:00 pm
Half-day Fridays
Optional Saturday work may be available
