Koolyangarra Preschool is seeking a Part-Time Bus Driver to provide a safe and reliable local pick-up and drop-off service for children attending the preschool. The successful applicant will be responsible for safely driving the preschool bus, completing daily bus checks and helping to ensure the bus is maintained in a protected and clean condition. The Bus Driver is not responsible for supervising the children while driving. Koolyangarra Preschool educators accompany the driver on all bus runs and are responsible for the supervision and care of the children during pick-ups and drop-offs.
Key responsibilities
Safely drive the preschool bus
Complete daily bus checks
Help ensure the bus is maintained in a protected and clean condition
Record daily safety checks of the bus
About you
Current NSW Light Rigid (LR)
Driver Licence
Current NSW Working with Children Check
Ability to drive a bus safely and efficiently with a safe driving record
Reliability and punctuality
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work the required split-shift hours
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Understanding of WHS requirements and EEO principles
Positive knowledge of the Walgett community and local streets
