Our client is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Production Welder to join their fast-paced manufacturing team in Dingley. This is a great chance for an experienced welder looking for stable work and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Working as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for a range of welding and fabrication tasks, including assembling and welding sheet metal components. You will work from drawings, job instructions and production specifications, using MIG, tack and spot welding techniques as well as general workshop tools and equipment.
You will be required to complete quality checks on your own work, maintain production standards and ensure components are completed accurately and efficiently. Following established processes, meeting daily production targets and maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety will be an important part of the role.
The successful candidate must have previous sheet metal welding experience and be confident working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
You will ideally have experience with MIG welding, tack welding and spot welding, with the ability to read basic drawings and accurately follow job instructions. Robust hand-eye coordination, attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work are essential.
You will also need to be physically capable of manual handling tasks, comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and able to work effectively as part of a team. A strong commitment to safety, PPE requirements and maintaining a clean and organised work area is required.
A forklift licence or additional relevant tickets would be advantageous but is not essential.
